Privacy policy

Short, because there is little to say. The site sets no cookies and the planner never leaves your browser.

Effective 2026-10-28. Applies to deloraine.org and to email sent to the Trust.

What we collect

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, carries no advertising, and does not fingerprint your browser. The track time planner runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, page requested, time) for security and capacity purposes and rotates them within 30 days.

Fonts

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, which may log the request under Google's own privacy policy. If you prefer not to make that request, block the fonts.googleapis.com domain; the site remains fully readable in your system fonts.

Email

If you email visitor@deloraine.org or curator@deloraine.org, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and to maintain the record it relates to (a platypus sighting, a track correction, a sinkhole report). Sightings are added to the Trust's count without your name or address. We do not add you to any list and we do not share your details with anyone.

Your rights

The Trust is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of policy, though as a small volunteer organisation we may fall below the statutory threshold. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the curator. We will answer within 30 days.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy inside this Tasmanian heritage directory with a revised publication timestamp.
